Do you have any other comments, questions or concerns?
I didn't understand what the ultimate goal of the presentation was. I thought it was going to give tools to develop these skills, but it really didn't. Some of the slides provided interesting information, but I ultimately walked away being frustrated that I had lost an hour of my day. Also, the audio became terrible close to half way through and there wasn't time left at the end of the presentation to ask any questions. It didn't feel interactive, mostly like someone was talking at me.

I would much prefer that the webinar be conducted with cameras on - at best, the speaker's camera on. The course description captured my attention. Course duration excellent for attendance during a busy workday. The content, design and delivery well done. Pace was spot-on.

Frequently Asked Questions

The role of the executive assistant has undergone a fundamental transformation in the digital-first, agile workplace. Traditional gatekeeping and administrative task management have given way to strategic partnership—executive assistants are now expected to anticipate needs, manage information flows, drive project coordination, and serve as trusted advisors who extend the executive's capacity and impact. Digital fluency has become a core competency: high-performing EAs must be proficient across communication platforms, project management tools, AI-powered productivity applications, and collaboration systems. Agile principles—flexibility, iterative planning, cross-functional collaboration, and rapid response to change—have reshaped how executive support is delivered, particularly in organizations that have adopted agile work methodologies. The boundary between administrative and operational roles has blurred, with today's executive assistants frequently owning initiatives, managing stakeholders, and representing their executives in strategic contexts. Aurora Training Advantage's Administrative Masterclass webinar, led by international EA expert and LinkedIn Learning instructor Diana Brandl, equips executive support professionals with the insights and tools to excel in this evolving, high-impact role.
Executive assistants who master the right digital toolkit significantly expand their productivity and strategic value. Calendar and scheduling tools—Microsoft Outlook, Google Calendar, and AI-powered scheduling assistants like Calendly or Microsoft Copilot—are foundational, but high-performing EAs leverage advanced features like meeting analytics and time-blocking optimization. Project management platforms such as Asana, Monday.com, or Notion enable EAs to track deliverables, manage cross-functional projects, and provide executives with real-time status visibility. Communication platforms including Microsoft Teams, Slack, and Zoom require fluency not just in basic use but in channel organization, notification management, and virtual meeting production. Document management and collaboration tools—SharePoint, Google Drive, and Notion—enable seamless information sharing. AI productivity tools are increasingly essential: AI writing assistants, meeting transcription tools, and automation platforms like Zapier can dramatically reduce manual administrative work. Aurora Training Advantage's Administrative Masterclass with Diana Brandl covers the essential digital tools for executive support professionals and how to use them to stay ahead in an ever-changing professional landscape.
Agile is a work methodology originally developed in software development that emphasizes iterative planning, continuous feedback, cross-functional collaboration, and adaptive response to change over rigid, linear project management. In executive support, agile principles manifest as a shift from reactive task execution to proactive, flexible partnership. Agile EAs plan in sprints rather than static monthly calendars—reviewing priorities regularly with their executive and adjusting quickly as business needs shift. They communicate in brief, frequent syncs rather than long periodic check-ins, ensuring alignment without consuming excessive executive time. They embrace iterative improvement: regularly reviewing and streamlining administrative workflows rather than maintaining legacy processes out of habit. Agile EAs are comfortable with ambiguity and skilled at making judgment calls that keep things moving without waiting for explicit instructions at every step. They think in terms of value delivered rather than tasks completed. Aurora Training Advantage's Administrative Masterclass led by Diana Brandl provides executive support professionals with a practical understanding of agile principles and how to apply them to elevate their effectiveness in today's dynamic work environment.
A strong executive-assistant partnership is built on trust, alignment, and mutual investment in each other's success. It begins with taking time to deeply understand your executive's priorities, communication style, decision-making preferences, and the pressures they face—so your actions are always in service of what matters most to them. Regular, structured syncs—even brief daily or weekly check-ins—maintain alignment and give you a platform to flag issues early and receive direct feedback. Proactively sharing information your executive needs before they ask for it demonstrates anticipatory thinking and strategic awareness. Protecting their time ruthlessly—guarding the calendar against low-value commitments, batching decisions, and handling what can be delegated—directly multiplies their effectiveness. Being discreet with sensitive information builds the trust that allows executives to involve you in higher-level work. Communicating your needs, bandwidth limits, and professional development aspirations creates a reciprocal partnership rather than a one-way service relationship. Aurora Training Advantage's Administrative Masterclass with Diana Brandl provides the framework and specific practices for building a truly strategic executive support partnership.
AI is automating many traditional administrative tasks—scheduling, travel booking, document formatting, and basic research—which raises legitimate questions about the future of executive support roles. The answer for forward-thinking EAs is to actively shift their value proposition from task execution to strategic contribution. The capabilities AI cannot replicate are precisely the ones that define high-performing executive assistants: emotional intelligence, relationship management, complex judgment, cross-organizational influence, and the deep contextual knowledge of a specific executive and organization. Future-proofing requires embracing AI rather than avoiding it—becoming the person who knows how to leverage AI tools to produce better outputs faster, freeing up capacity for higher-value work. Developing expertise in data literacy, project management, and business analysis expands the EA's strategic footprint. Professional development through certifications like CAP and continuous learning through courses and networks signals growth orientation. Building a personal brand and professional network creates career optionality. Aurora Training Advantage's Administrative Masterclass with international EA expert Diana Brandl directly addresses how executive support professionals can stay indispensable in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
