Kim Allonce, PhD, is a community-engaged researcher with a doctorate in Public Affairs from the University of Central Florida (UCF). His research focuses on public deliberation, citizen assemblies, national dialogue processes, and social capital. His dissertation explored the factors that facilitate or hinder national dialogue in Haiti.

Kim is an active member of the Coalition for Inclusive Dialogue in Haiti and was awarded the 2022 Taylor L. Willingham Legacy Fund Scholarship from the National Issues Forums (NIF) for his contributions to deliberative democracy. He has presented his research at prominent conferences, including the National Coalition for Dialogue and Deliberation Conference. Additionally, he serves as an adjunct professor of public administration at Clayton State University in Atlanta.

He holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Georgia (UGA) and a certificate in Policy Management from the University of Seoul, South Korea. A proud alumnus of Perimeter College and a former Leadership Academy member, Kim currently serves as the Economic Development Director for the City of Johns Creek in the Atlanta metro area. Prior to this role, he held positions with the cities of Stockbridge, Wilton Manors, Orlando, and the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. In 2022, he was recognized with the Leadership in Economic Development Award from the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance.

Originally from Haiti, Kim migrated to the United States after the devastating earthquake, following the completion of his first year of law school at the State University of Haiti. He now resides in Chamblee with his wife, Marthe, and enjoys supporting the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta United.
