AI can produce polished, confident answers in seconds—but confident doesn’t always mean correct. AI-generated content can include fabricated facts, false or misrepresented citations, outdated information, missing context, and questionable claims presented as truth. Once you use or share that information, the error becomes yours, making effective AI fact-checking an essential skill for anyone relying on AI-generated information.

This practical webinar gives participants a straightforward approach to using AI with greater confidence, accuracy, and better judgment. You’ll learn when to trust AI-generated content, when to question it, and when verification is necessary. Discover practical techniques for evaluating sources, identifying unsupported claims, asking better questions, and keeping human judgment in the driver’s seat while using AI to work faster and smarter.

Your Benefits For Attending:
  • Spot common AI errors, including fabricated facts, false citations, and outdated information.
  • Separate fluency from accuracy and recognize when a convincing AI-generated answer still requires verification.
  • Determine what information to fact-check based on the potential consequences of being wrong.
  • Use a simple four-step process to quickly evaluate AI-generated information.
  • Evaluate sources for credibility, accuracy, relevance, and timeliness.
  • Use AI to challenge AI and uncover assumptions, uncertainty, and unsupported claims.
  • Ask better questions to reduce errors caused by unclear or faulty prompts.
  • Apply a simple credibility test before sharing AI-generated information.
  • Keep human judgment in the driver’s seat while using AI to work faster and smarter.

By attending, you’ll gain a practical framework for approaching AI-generated information with greater confidence and sound judgment. These skills can help you catch questionable information before you use or share it, allowing you to benefit from AI’s speed while maintaining responsibility for accuracy.

While she was the best presenter I have listened to thus far, she seemed unprepared. Her computer kept having troubles, and she had prepared a 1-hour presentation for a 1.5-hour session. While this was likely a mere oversight or a breakdown in communication, it came across as more than that.Of course, I cannot ascertain a person's motives and do not intend to manufacture blame in such a way, but the way the course came across to me as a listener was as a public speaker who was very confident in her ability and toyed with the presentation so as to test herself and her ability. It was a bit off-putting. Having said that, she was quite good, and the information was good.

Pamela gave a very good presentation. She did a good job improvising when she finished 30 minutes ahead of schedule. And the information was very useful. Two critical areas:1) Did this not count toward SHRM recert? The recert number was not in the certificate.2) I don't like having to text a number in order to get class material. Why weren't the strategic questions included in the course material? And why do I have to provide my phone number to get them? This raises concerns around privacy issues.

Please add subtitles for webinars, or present these videos as embedded to Chrome. Chrome offers their own CCs, so if video is embedded to Chrome, subtitles will start to play as soon as presenter starts speaking, otherwise, I always have to watch video after it's saved and available in on-demand-video section.
