Difficult people can turn a rewarding career into a daily struggle. As an administrative professional, you're not only managing high-level tasks and juggling multiple priorities, you’re often expected to mediate conflicts and smooth over tension with clients, executives, and colleagues alike. This high-pressure responsibility requires more than patience, it demands confidence, control, and a strategic approach to communication.

This interactive online workshop is tailored specifically for administrative professionals who are tired of being caught in the middle. You'll learn practical, real-world communication and confrontation skills that empower you to keep your cool, set and defend healthy boundaries, and maintain your professionalism, even when others around you don’t. Whether it’s a demanding boss, a pushy coworker, or a rude client, you’ll walk away with tools that let you respond instead of react - with confidence, clarity, and composure.

Your Benefits for Attending:
  • Learn 5 proven strategies to communicate effectively with difficult people across phone, email, virtual meetings, and in-person conversations - keeping interactions professional and productive.
  • Gain specific techniques to defuse angry, upset, or disrespectful individuals while maintaining your composure and professional reputation.
  • Discover conflict management strategies designed specifically for administrative roles, helping you avoid being the office “referee” and reclaim your time and boundaries.
  • Master what to say, how to say it, and when to speak up — with scripts and phrasing that let you be assertive without being aggressive.
  • Build your emotional resilience with techniques to stay calm under pressure, avoid shutting down or overreacting, and preserve your confidence.
  • Learn how to confront manipulative or unfair behavior head-on — without guilt, fear, or sacrificing your professionalism.
  • Walk away with lasting control, confidence, and composure, no matter how emotionally charged the situation may be.

This webinar is a game-changer for any admin professional who wants to protect their peace, elevate their communication skills, and stop being steamrolled by difficult people. It's time to take back control, with confidence and professionalism.

This presentation was excellent for a new to the workforce or someone who has never tried to work on themselves in this area. Perhaps there could be an "upper level" or "Upgrade your Confrontational Skills" webinar offered. It is easier to get my employees to a 1 hour class than a multiple hour class. Thanks for offering this.

6 Picture slides on one sheet of paper is too small. Please give us (class) the PowerPoint so that we can choose the number of slides on the page. Thanks!

This was the best webinar I have taken through Aurora by far! My only complaint is that it was too short. I feel there was so much more to be learned
