On July 4, 2025, the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” (OBBBA) was signed into law, introducing the most significant tax break on employee wages in decades. Central to this legislation is the groundbreaking “No Tax on Overtime” provision, which allows eligible employees to deduct up to $12,500 of qualifying overtime pay from their federal taxable income. This webinar will provide payroll professionals with a comprehensive breakdown of the new tax treatment and what it means for payroll operations going forward.

Designed specifically for payroll processors and service providers, this session delivers everything needed to implement the OBBBA changes with confidence. From defining eligibility and navigating income phase-out thresholds to updating payroll systems and ensuring proper W-2 reporting, every aspect of the law will be covered. Attendees will also gain insight into developing employee education strategies to help workers maximize their tax savings and avoid filing errors. Whether you're managing in-house payroll or advising clients, this timely session will prepare you to handle the transition smoothly and compliantly.

Your Benefits for Attending:
  • Understand the federal tax deduction for overtime pay, including who qualifies and how it is applied.
  • Identify income phase-out rules and wage thresholds that impact eligibility.
  • Learn how this provision interacts with Social Security, Medicare, and applicable state taxes.
  • Get step-by-step guidance on updating payroll systems and processes for compliance.
  • Ensure accurate year-end reporting by mastering the new W-2 requirements.
  • Build a clear communication plan to educate employees and leadership on the new benefit.

This webinar offers critical insights and tools to help you stay compliant and support your workforce. Gain the expertise you need to confidently implement one of the most impactful tax law changes in recent history.

I realize that the presenter was ill but aside from not being able to hear her, she didn't present the materials in a way that was conductive to learning and the constant nose wiping with her fingers, hair fussing and gatorade guzzling was a distraction.

The presentation fell short of expectations due to several professionalism concerns. The presenter’s use of sarcastic commentary and insinuations detracted from the content and gave the impression of a personal political stance, which is not appropriate in a professional setting. Additionally, the visual presentation could have been improved; the background should have been blurred or replaced with a neutral backdrop, and the slides were too small to read clearly, even from a close distance. The presenter’s frequent hair-touching, facial expressions, and occasional contradictions in messaging further distracted from the material being shared. While the topic itself was valuable, the delivery and presentation style significantly diminished the overall impact.

I missed the first part of the webinar because my volume wasn't working. I had to get my IT dept to help and we had to restart my computer, due to this I was unable to log back in, because I'd already used my email address to log in. This was very frustrating, if we logged out, we should be able to log back in. While I'm sure the presenter was nice and explained why her voice was difficult to hear. If the presenter was sick, I'm not sure she should have presented, it was VERY difficult to follow her and feel like it was not engaging at all. Her voice was breaking and cracking at times. My IT dept and a colleague were in the room trying to help assist with the volume and both stated that the presenter was not lively or made anyone want to really listen to her.

Presenter was sick and lost her voice, so it was VERY difficult to understand what she was saying. I know it's not her fault, but I thought I'd still mention since I missed a lot of what she was trying to say. The AI transcription was a joke. I laughed out loud a few times with how off base it was with the translation. Maybe that also had to do with not being able to understand what the presenter was saying.
