Stakeholders are a critical element to the success of any project. Project Leads need to have a strong understanding of the role that Stakeholders play with respect to the project and how those Stakeholders need to be identified, managed, communicated with, and engaged. This session will focus on providing a clear definition of the term “Stakeholder” and a more detailed understanding of their interest, engagement, and potential contributions throughout the project lifecycle.

Discussions will also include the activity of identifying the Stakeholders associated with the project efforts, determining their level of interest and engagement in the project, while also confirming the communication needs to keep them informed. Other discussion topics will include the concept of Change Management. All projects introduce change – small changes and big changes. It is the responsibility of the Project Team to determine how those changes will impact the Stakeholder community. Based on this information, the Project Team will develop a change management plan that will be used in an effort to help the Stakeholders adapt to those identified changes more quickly, and more easily.

Your Benefits For Attending:
  • Learn about the benefits of proactively identifying the Stakeholders that will be impacted by the project activities.
  • Familiarize yourself with the concept of Stakeholder Management and the positive impacts of engaging the Stakeholder Community for your project.
  • Raise your level of understanding for the concept of Change Management Planning and how this activity can help the Project Team to understand the needs of the Stakeholders while also introducing tools and programs to help ease the transition for those Stakeholders.
