Making the leap from staff member to supervisor is one of the most challenging transitions in any career. This webinar, led by renowned communication expert Pamela Jett, is designed specifically to support new supervisors in navigating the common hurdles of leadership with confidence and success. During this dynamic 60-minute session, attendees will gain practical tools to effectively shift from peer to leader, communicate clearly with team members—including former colleagues—and set themselves up for long-term success.

Participants will explore how to adopt a supervisor’s mindset, manage workplace relationships, and handle the new responsibilities of delegation, time management, and tough conversations. Whether it's learning to prioritize effectively, using boundary statements to boost productivity, or mastering the art of delivering feedback and disciplinary communication, this session is packed with actionable insights that drive real results. Don’t just survive the transition—thrive in it with the tools, language, and leadership strategies that set exceptional supervisors apart from the rest.

  • Unlock your peak performance with 10-time management tools successful people use.
  • Master the art of “stewardship” delegation to get things done on time and on target.
Essential tools for tough conversations, performance feedback, and other supervisory challenges:
  • Discover what to say/do when tears flow.
  • Learn what never to say during a disciplinary conversation - hint... it’s not what you think.
  • Discover language patterns to make disciplinary conversations easier.
  • Learn how to keep records and notes so that you can hold people accountable.
  • Master the art of open-ended questions to gain cooperation.

Don't merely survive as a first-time supervisor. Join Pamela Jett as she guides you through how to thrive in your new role.

She talks so fast it is hard to keep up and take notes. I understand and she stated she knows she talks fast, etc. I also understand that she wants to squeeze a lot info into her segment. Knowing this I think she should also handout a transcription of her whole webinar. I think all of her information was good, relevant, useful, etc. But if I can not go back and review AND understand, then its pointless to print handout or take notes. But again, like she said, she knows this about herself so she take extra steps to provide better handouts for later reference.

Handouts would have helped better. Example of her 3 columns would have been better. Or her provide a blank example with maybe a couple items she spoke about and then everyone could fill in the rest themselves. I dont like that I have nothing to refer back to more specifically.
