As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes more widely used in the workplace, HR professionals and managers face new challenges in ensuring that AI-assisted communications are accurate, appropriate, and compliant. While AI can improve efficiency in drafting workplace messages and employment-related documentation, its use can also introduce legal, confidentiality, employee relations, and reputational risks. Understanding where these risks arise and how to prevent costly communication mistakes is essential for organizations adopting AI tools.

This webinar explores the communication risks associated with using AI in human resources and management, including common mistakes in recruiting, performance management, workplace investigations, employee relations, and terminations. Participants will learn how AI-generated content can create discrimination, privacy, compliance, and credibility concerns, as well as the importance of maintaining human oversight when communicating sensitive employment decisions.

The session will also examine practical strategies for reviewing, editing, and approving AI-assisted workplace communications while briefly addressing broader AI governance considerations, including vendor-related risks and emerging legal obligations. Participants will gain guidance on establishing simple safeguards that allow HR teams and managers to use AI responsibly, balance efficiency with sound judgment, and maintain employee trust and organizational accountability.

Your Benefits For Attending:
  • Understand the major categories of AI-related employment risks, including discrimination, privacy, vendor-related concerns, and emerging legal obligations.
  • Identify common AI communication mistakes in recruiting, performance management, investigations, employee relations, and terminations.
  • Recognize when AI-generated workplace communications may create legal, compliance, confidentiality, or reputational risks.
  • Learn practical guidelines for reviewing, editing, and approving AI-assisted communications before they are shared.
  • Explore how to balance the efficiency of AI tools with human judgment when making employment-related decisions and communicating with employees.
  • Develop simple safeguards and communication guidelines that help HR professionals and managers use AI responsibly while maintaining trust and accountability.

By attending, you will gain practical insights into identifying and preventing AI-related communication mistakes before they create larger workplace challenges. These strategies will help you use AI more confidently and responsibly while protecting employee relationships, strengthening professional credibility, and reducing potential organizational risks.

The link to the Harvard survey didn't work for me, but I ended up finding it when I searched, "google'd" it. I really did use Google! I found that to be interesting even though I am skeptical of the results. I took the disability survey and I felt like I was taking less of a bias survey and more of a brain game matching survey. I think it would have been more interesting if it allowed the survey taker to determine what they felt was a "disabled" or "abled" person. I had attempted to say a person with a crutch was an "abled" person and it said I was wrong based on their categorization. By following their preset guidelines it became more of a matching brain teaser game for me. There could be more science behind it than that though. I found that survey and the EEOC cases great takeaways that will be good to share with our management team. I think they will respond well to interactive and real-life situations.
