In today’s fast-paced world, stress and anxiety are common experiences. But when do these feelings become a diagnosable condition covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)? Mental health disorders, such as anxiety, stress, and PTSD, can present challenges for employers, making it essential to understand your obligations and adopt best practices for supporting your team.

Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your knowledge and ensure your organization is prepared to handle these sensitive but critical issues effectively.

Your Benefits For Attending:
  • Know the Boundaries: Understand when everyday stress and anxiety are considered ADA-protected conditions.
  • Clarify Coverage: Learn which mental health disorders, including PTSD, qualify for protections under the ADA.
  • Master the Approach: Gain insights into how to effectively and legally approach mental health conditions in the workplace.
  • Address PTSD: Stay ahead of the growing trend of PTSD diagnoses and what it means for your organization.
  • Take Action with Confidence: Discover the right steps to take when an employee shares their mental health diagnosis.

I really enjoy how interactive the presentation was conducted. As well the materials provided. I encounter a lot of difficultly remembering spoken only items. Providing the presentation and materials that i reference and create notes on top off is by far incredibly useful in terms of retention! Especially since sometimes i have trouble hearing/understanding.

There was a lot of information about bias that took up the majority of the presentation. I understand this is an important aspect of the job posting process, but it was a very entry-level presentation for recruiters/HR pros that are beginning their career. I recommend that a training on biases is separate than job postings, notifications, and company liabilities. There was a lack on content for all three of the training's title. I was expecting this to be more relevant to the way job postings are written and what certain states require. The blog she referenced was published in 2023 and many laws have changed since then.
