Managing challenging employee behavior is a critical skill for any successful leader. In this dynamic and solution-focused webinar, Dealing with Difficult People, managers will gain actionable tools to identify, address, and resolve difficult behaviors in the workplace.

Through a structured six-step model for conducting tough conversations and a deep dive into 12 common difficult behavior types, participants will leave with enhanced confidence and clarity in managing team dynamics. This session also covers how to differentiate between difficult personalities and difficult situations, equipping managers to take appropriate and effective action.

Attendees will also explore the impact of personality styles (DiSC) and generational differences in workplace behavior, ensuring communication strategies are tailored and effective. With real-life examples, legal considerations including ADA compliance, and interactive discussions, this session provides both the insight and the hands-on techniques needed to apply learning immediately. Whether you're facing conflict, disengagement, or disruptive behavior, this course delivers practical value that directly supports stronger morale, retention, and team performance.

Your Benefits For Attending:
  • Importance of Addressing Difficult Employee Behavior: Understand the negative impact on morale, productivity, and retention, and navigate legal and compliance issues including discrimination laws and the ADA.
  • Best Practices and Steps for Handling Difficult Conversations: Learn to focus on behavior (not personality), utilize practical dialogue techniques, and apply a six-step model to turn conflict into constructive communication.
  • Recognizing and Understanding 12 Common Difficult Employee Behaviors: Identify traits such as the Complainer, Manipulator, Bully, and others—along with their underlying causes and consequences—so you can respond strategically.
  • Best Practices for Handling Difficult Behaviors: Leverage case studies and real-life scenarios to see how theory translates into action.
  • BONUS Content: Discover how DiSC personality styles and generational traits influence behavior, and apply basic conflict resolution techniques to any employee challenge.

I found that the presentation was a little chaotic. she could use move overview and less reading the handouts. The example was the best practical item but we didn't actually go through the process of determining what laws we needed to follow. I thin teaching the process of determining the answer in a multi-faceted scenario would be really helpful as we try to figure out our own combinations for states and laws.

I may have overlooked it, but it would have been helpful to have instructions on the QR access. I wasn't able to do that.
