Quite honestly, this was a waste of time. An hour and 40 minutes just to, basically, tell me to figure out which state we have nexus in and go to each state's website to find out what the requirements are. I was expecting a chart or some kind of tool to help me figure out the requirements, not an ad at the end trying to get us to subscribe and THEN you'll help us determine what the state requirements are. Total waste of money and the presentation was SO boring.

Only useful piece of the program was that I need to be careful with state and local filing of 1099s because a lot has changed recently with regard to filing requirements. I was hoping to gain insight and assurance that I was following the proper guidelines. Also, this type of webinar should be hosted some time in December or January since a lot of the state deadlines are 1/31.

The House pays fees to attending physicians, who are not employees, and withholds 24% of the gross amount of the fees. Are these fees reportable in box of the form 1099-NEC and the federal income tax withheld in box 4?Could you please help me understand what gets reported in box 1 of the form 1099-NEC versus what gets reported in box 6 of the 1099-MISC form?
