Following the enactment of the ADAAA, the law which made sweeping changes to the ADA, employers were required to refocus their ADA compliance efforts on the interactive process under the ADA- the sometimes lengthy dialogue with employees – to determine whether there is any reasonable accommodation which would allow the employee to perform the essential functions of the employee’s job. Since the enactment of the ADAAA, the EEOC and the courts have continued to redefine the full extent of the rights and duties of both employees and employers. This webinar will assist employers in understanding those obligations, and provide practical ways in which employers can reduce risk, increase legal compliance and better manage the productivity of their employees.

Would have loved more time for questions / answers / more direct answers on the slides; hit alot of the questions we had but did not provide enough answers on the slides. Give the scenario with the correct response below - would have been helpful. Alot of people like black/white - question - answer; this would help when defending why we need to make changes in policies. Loved the content presenter was very good. Eye opening on some of the changes and requirements now.

I had a question but there was not time for it. Each situation is determined on a case by case basis, but what is the best practice while the process and accommodations are being determined? What is a reasonable time frame for determining accommodations once documentation has been submitted? What accommodations should or could be implemented during the process even before the disability is confirmed and reasonable accommodations are determined? My email is sb5602@princeton.edu.
