In today's competitive job market, hiring the right talent is essential, but how you communicate your hiring process can have serious legal consequences. Statements like "we only hire those who fit our culture" might sound like a great way to maintain team cohesion, but they could open your organization to legal risks, including claims of discrimination and bias. This webinar will take a deep dive into the legal implications of job postings, hiring criteria, and rejection notifications to help you avoid potential liabilities.

Join us as we dissect real-world hiring cases, review federal and state employment laws, and explore best practices for crafting legally compliant job ads and candidate communications. By attending this session, you’ll gain actionable insights into reducing unconscious bias in recruiting and hiring, ensuring fair selection processes, and mitigating the risks of costly legal disputes. Don't wait until a lawsuit or social media backlash forces change—proactively protect your company today.

Your Benefits For Attending:
  • Unconscious Bias in Job Ads – Identify and mitigate bias in job postings to foster inclusive hiring.
  • Federal & State Hiring Laws – Learn key legal requirements to ensure compliance and avoid penalties.
  • Rejection Notifications Best Practices – Discover why "not a fit" is no longer an acceptable reason for candidate rejections.
  • Employment Legal Cases to Watch – Stay informed on recent lawsuits and legal trends impacting hiring practices.
Why Attend?

Protect your company from potential lawsuits and reputational damage while fostering a fair and inclusive hiring process. With long-term employee retention beginning at the hiring stage, getting it right from the start is crucial. Equip yourself with the knowledge to navigate legal complexities and build a compliant, bias-free recruitment strategy.

I found this training very useful. I work with the public and I have had a gun in my face and it was very scary. A few weeks later that same person shot and killed someone. It could have easily been me.

Active shooting is a very heavy topic, but this presentation made it feel like there was a way to lift this burden. The presenter stated from the beginning that we would need to look elsewhere for assistance in creating the appropriate training, but she provided links, additional handouts, and additional training through Aurora, so we didn't need to go an search for anything. It was all right there at our fingertips.

There were some technical difficulties during the training which created a delay and a rush at the end. The presenter was good, but quite repetitive in her content.

I am so excited that you were able to coordinate a training on this as my company has had a few DV events this year with staff. Resources and trainings on this are hard to find. Thank you for this.
