Managing an employee’s FMLA leave is complicated. Many managers suspect that an employee is “working the system” and taking part in FMLA abuse. Have you ever wondered – does this employee really need medical leave? What can I ask the employee about the leave? Can I require the employee to turn in a doctor’s note? Can I get a second opinion? This webinar will answer these and other questions and provide guidance on managing suspected FMLA abuse.

I would love to see an advanced version of this. I feel this was more intermediate and for those learning about FMLA. I would love to see one touch base more on WC with FMLA.

The subject of the training was about Complaints intertwined with performance issues. As a trained investigator, I felt too much of the time was spend on general information about a good investigation (good materials and this part was well presented) but I did not learn anything new from this training which is reflected in my answers to the survey. I was expecting more time to be spent on how to detangle the performance issues from the complaint, with more than one example of a very poorly run investigation. I think this training would have been better marketed as a intro investigatory training. I did appreciate the review of best practices for an investigation, and I like how the presented presented the information. It just did not meet my expectations based on the title for which I signed up.
