Acquisition by another company is the most common exit strategy for small businesses today. The acquisition of the ownership interest or assets of a business is a daily occurrence, and anyone involved in advising or running a business, big or small, should be aware of the dynamics of mergers and acquisitions.

The webinar was good. There was a lot of information to absorb. It would be nice to go over some of the other depreciation methods such as half year convention.

Not enough time was spent on the GAAP accounting side. This was mainly a TAX seminar which was good TAX information. Would like to see more classes with an emphasis on GAAP.

I feel that the price of the class would be more reasonable if all the information wasn't on the handout. I could have read the handout and accomplished the same thing.

This training spent a lot of time on the B notices and backup withholding. Was hoping to have more detailed info on the TIN verification. For example, which types of entities need to be TIN verified (501c3s?) vs those that do not and which types of entities should receive 1099's vs those that should not. Mainly talked about corporations not receiving 1099's, but what about S corps, LLCs, 501c3s, etc. I thought the information was very helpful about the backup withholding and the b notices.
