Did you know that an estimated 15–20% of the global population is neurodivergent? That means millions of employees experience the workplace through a different lens—bringing with them unique cognitive strengths such as hyper-focus, pattern recognition, and creative problem-solving. Yet, despite their potential, neurodivergent individuals are often overlooked or misunderstood in professional environments.

This webinar is designed to help HR professionals and workplace leaders better understand neurodivergent conditions and how to navigate both the legal requirements and practical strategies for supporting these employees under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

In this fast-paced and myth-busting session, we’ll explore the legal framework around neurodivergent conditions and disability status, demystify the interactive accommodation process, and offer real-world guidance on how to support neurodivergent team members without putting your organization at risk. You'll learn how inclusion isn’t just a compliance box to check—it’s a smart business decision that can unlock exceptional talent across your workforce. Plus, we’ll walk through specific scenarios, provide take-home toolkits, and highlight what to avoid in interviews, reviews, and employee conversations.

Agenda Includes:
  • Framing the Conversation – A quick dive into the evolving language around neurodivergence, and why this matters right now for employers.
  • Neurodivergence 101: Beyond Buzzwords – Definitions, real-world examples, and what neurodivergent strengths look like in the workplace.
  • The ADA & You: Legal Responsibilities Decoded – Understand how the ADA applies to neurodivergent conditions, including interactive process best practices and accommodation scenarios.
  • Creating a Culture of Inclusion (Not Just Compliance) – How to make space for different brains without reinventing the wheel—or alienating your team.
  • Common Pitfalls HR Should Avoid – Ask your burning questions and learn what not to say in performance reviews, interviews, or accommodation talks.
  • Wrap-Up & Resources – Takeaways, toolkits, and where to go from here.
Your Benefits for Attending:
  • Gain a clear understanding of the ADA’s legal framework as it applies to neurodivergent employees
  • Learn how to recognize and implement reasonable accommodations before issues escalate
  • Identify and leverage the strengths of neurodivergent individuals to improve team performance and innovation
  • Discover proactive inclusion strategies that don’t require overhauling your organization
  • Avoid common HR pitfalls that can lead to legal or relational complications
  • Access takeaway resources, toolkits, and real-world examples for continued learning

Attending this webinar will empower you to confidently support neurodivergent employees, helping you create a more inclusive workplace while mitigating legal risk.

Who Should Attend:
HR professionals, people managers, team leaders, compliance officers, and anyone responsible for employee well-being or workplace policy enforcement.

The link to the Harvard survey didn't work for me, but I ended up finding it when I searched, "google'd" it. I really did use Google! I found that to be interesting even though I am skeptical of the results. I took the disability survey and I felt like I was taking less of a bias survey and more of a brain game matching survey. I think it would have been more interesting if it allowed the survey taker to determine what they felt was a "disabled" or "abled" person. I had attempted to say a person with a crutch was an "abled" person and it said I was wrong based on their categorization. By following their preset guidelines it became more of a matching brain teaser game for me. There could be more science behind it than that though. I found that survey and the EEOC cases great takeaways that will be good to share with our management team. I think they will respond well to interactive and real-life situations.

Superior presenter and well organized and helpful presentation. The only thing missing was ability for Q & A beyond 5-10 minutes which limited discussion and feedback.
