I thought this was going to be all about the new 2020 W4, the first half went over the function of the existing 2019 W4 plus information on a electronic W4. Very little time was spent on the new 2020 W4 plus the presenter was stumped by one of the questions regarding writing Exempt on the form.

I had trouble with the very plain power point, and keeping track of when the presenter was talking about the current state of the W-4, and when she was talking about the future W-4. A simple tool to differentiate would have been helpful (i.e. different colored font for present vs future).

I am not so trilled with the way the webinar is presented. I don't see that the learning objective to know what are the requirement and changes for Form W-4 2020 was met. The presenter spent so much time on other W-4 information which is all very elementary because all experienced Payroll Professional should know all of these information. The webinar turned out to be like a review of the do's and don'ts of administering the W-4 whether its previous W-4 and the new form for 2020. The objective of knowing, learning what is the impact of the new Form W-4 was not given any justification on this webinar. I felt that I paid for something that I already know already and not what was sold to me based on the title of the webinar "Draft Form W-4 2020". I was looking for a more in depth information. I can get more information by going to the IRS website than attending this webinar. Not worth my money.
