Hi! I’m Melveen Stevenson and I’m the CEO and founder of M.S.Elemental, LLC, a human resources and business advisory firm based in Los Angeles, California.

As a certified HR professional with a background in accounting and finance, I help companies to navigate the human resources “jungle” of compliance, human capital, and leadership challenges. By using an holistic business approach, I help to strengthen organizations from the inside out, specifically through leadership development, operations optimization, training, employee engagement, and executive/behavioral coaching.

Over the last 17 years, I’ve held leadership positions in human resources operations, supply chain, and talent management at international companies in food manufacturing, medical devices, and consumer products. I’ve also had the privilege of having worked internationally.

Interestingly enough, my career began in accounting and international banking. With an inspired desire to support and drive organizational success through human capital, I redirected my career and obtained my MBA at Michigan State University’s Eli Broad Graduate School of Management.

Today, I’m not only passionate about what I do. I’m also driven to help you to empower yourself, your company, and your team.

I enjoyed the class -- I liked the presenters way of keeping engagement & acknowledging that this subject could be overwhelming for some. She did a great jon though & I feel like I learned what I hoped to. The only let down was that there was quite an extensive time frame with technical difficulties... I would say a good 25 minutes of our 1.5 hour session we were waiting for the class to begin again, so that was disappointing, but I do not believe that is anyone's fault -- Those things happen. It was just a bit of a disappointment for me personally. Overall, I enjoyed the class.

This was a great topic. I took two introductory accounting management and finance accounting courses in the Arts Management MBA program at Claremont Graduate University while I attended my MS in Evaluation and Applied Science online graduate program during the Covid pandemic. The instructors 1 1/2 hour course covered all of the same topics from that course. It was great to review.

Presenter seemed knowledgeable, but all of the front end introduction about herself and qualifications and outlines reduced the meatier content. Plus there were technical issues which happens but it made the content rushed. More visible examples would have been good. Maybe an exercise. Did enjoy the fun facts.
