To strengthen the value of any function in an organization, leaders and specialists need to know the language of business, and that includes the financial components that have traditionally measured business progress and success.  This course is designed to help you do just that.

Even if you’ve never taken an accounting or finance course, this webinar will give you the foundational understanding you need to improve your partnership and support of your internal customers, including operations, sales, marketing, executives, and more.

You’ll learn how the valuable work that you do ties in directly with the overall success of your company. As a result, you’ll be able to partner more closely with functional leaders.

Areas Covered During Training:

  • Learn about the importance of being able to speak the basic language of business.
  • Understand terminology that will help you become a more valuable business partner.
  • Learn and deconstruct the fundamental accounting equation and what it means.
  • Understand the primary financial statements, including their purpose and how they work together.
  • Be more conversant with executives and department leaders.
  • Conquer any trepidation you have about learning accounting and finance.

I am sorry to say this but that was probably the worst webinar I have ever attended. I have been in law enforcement for 35 years and in School Safety and Security for 15 years. I have taught active shooter training for over 20 years and this was really bad. i took this course to see if there were any new trends in active shooter as some of my information is old. this course should have been taught by someone in law enforcement that has been involved in active shooter incidents or command, not a professor talking to us the whole time about human relations. this course should have been attended by my HR person instead of director of Safety and Security. I sorry to be so hard on this but it was the worst $300 I ever spent and not worth the 1 1/2 hour of my time. You need to have a better course and instructor with experience in this area.

I felt that no new information was presented. A lot of what was recommended was for people to "report things to HR" but since HR is the audience of the training, the focus should have been what specifically HR should do once things are reported. Also, I don't find it useful when presenters read the slides, which is what this presenter did. I could have just read the slides myself.

It was a very valuable seminar and I feel like it is something that can be implemented immediately in our company.
