In today’s high-pressure work environment, stress and anxiety are becoming increasingly prevalent. But distinguishing between normal emotional responses and diagnosable mental health conditions is crucial—especially when those conditions may qualify for protection under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

This informative webinar will guide employers and HR professionals through the legal and practical implications of mental health in the workplace, with a focus on understanding how stress, anxiety, and PTSD can become ADA-covered disabilities.

You'll learn how to recognize when a situation requires legal accommodation, what qualifies under the ADA, and how to create a supportive yet compliant workplace culture. With mental health issues on the rise, it’s essential to stay informed, proactive, and equipped with the tools to navigate complex situations compassionately and legally.

Your Benefits For Attending:
  • Know the Boundaries: Understand when everyday stress and anxiety are considered ADA-protected conditions.
  • Clarify Coverage: Learn which mental health disorders, including PTSD, qualify for protections under the ADA.
  • Master the Approach: Gain insights into how to effectively and legally approach mental health conditions in the workplace.
  • Address PTSD: Stay ahead of the growing trend of PTSD diagnoses and what it means for your organization.
  • Take Action with Confidence: Discover the right steps to take when an employee shares their mental health diagnosis.

This webinar is an invaluable opportunity to build confidence in handling sensitive mental health issues while ensuring ADA compliance and fostering a respectful, informed workplace.

Neutral was misspelled on one of Wendy's slides. Not a big deal, but you may want to let her know.

Presenter spent a lot of time on employment law, which although important and valuable, was not called out on objectives of the training. I wish more time had been spent on other noted objectives. I did appreciate some of the law links she provided though. Overall great training.

Lots of great information, and it was well-organized. Another .5 hour would have been ideal to facilitate longer Q&A

Level of detail provided was a bit heavy. I thought the following objectives were a bit light on examples/content. •Employee Engagement: ChatGPT can be used to gather feedback from employees and provide support for their mental and emotional well-being. The chatbot can also provide resources and information on company benefits and programs that support employee wellness.•Training and Development: ChatGPT can be used to provide personalized learning and development opportunities for employees. The chatbot can answer questions, provide resources, and recommend training programs based on an employee's role and interests.
