Following the enactment of the ADAAA, the law which made sweeping changes to the ADA, employers were required to refocus their ADA compliance efforts on the interactive process under the ADA- the sometimes lengthy dialogue with employees – to determine whether there is any reasonable accommodation which would allow the employee to perform the essential functions of the employee’s job. Since the enactment of the ADAAA, the EEOC and the courts have continued to redefine the full extent of the rights and duties of both employees and employers. This webinar will assist employers in understanding those obligations, and provide practical ways in which employers can reduce risk, increase legal compliance and better manage the productivity of their employees.

Your Benefits For Attending:

  • The ADA – a law requiring a particular process for all employees that can result in different outcomes for each individual employee.

  • What an Employer Must Show to Establish Undue Hardship

This was supposed to be a training about travel but other topics unrelated to travel were covered. The training should have been labeled something more about "intro to what is or isn't compensable work time". I was expecting more travel specific content.

To me, this was grossly misrepresented by the title. I was expecting to learn more about what is covered for travel - away from office - not to and from work, and changing clothes. To me, this was a monumental waste of time. Especially as I could just read the slide deck as that is exactly what the presenter did. Usually love your sessions and find them super beneficial but this is NOT one I will recommend to my co-workers.

The poll questions in the presentation were disruptive and seemed like commercial breaks for Aurora. If you want to do those poll questions, it would be better to do it at the end where people can opt out of participating. Also, this is a topic where the federal guidance is of little use since so many states have more restrictive laws. The presenter did little but just read the slides out loud.

She spoke very fast, and often tripped over her words. Most of the time she just read the slides, which I could have done on my own. Sorry, I normally enjoy Aurora trainings.
