Bob Verchota is owner and senior consultant for RPVerchota & Associates, a consulting firm providing services to clients who seek to align their business and employees, creating successful outcomes and excellent work environments. It was a little frustrating because most of the time (roughly 70 minutes) was about turnover and why one should have stay interviews, and very little time was actually spent discussing how to frame and conduct the stay interviews themselves.

This session was supposed to be 90 minutes about stay interviews. with 20 minutes to go they still had not shared any content about stay interviews. Instead, all of the content was about turnover (we know the stats on that already and that is why we wanted to hear about stay interviews as a strategy!). Also just one person droning on for over an hour, no interactive activities on the webinar (its 2022! and we have learned a lot about how to conduct interactive virtual webinars). Also facilitator spelled Gallup (the organization) wrong. I dropped early as this was so disappointing and wish I could get a refund.

I think the presenter could have done a lot more engagement with the audience. He did not pause once to gather our thoughts or feedback, besides the last 5 minutes for Q&A. I thought he was very monotone for the first 1.5 hours. However, it was useful information. Just wish he engaged us more!
